I have been lax in updating the points. This time of the year is busy for all of us and I have fallen victim to the holiday rush. As you are aware, we have moved the Club Championship to January, so please plan to participate then. The MONTHLY tournament will be this coming Saturday, Dec 19th with a start time of 8 am. Please join us then. The monthly tournament will be on the SHORE course.
Remember that starting on the 17th of December, the mini-tournaments return to the shore course. I have scheduled a mini-tournament for Saturday, but you CANNOT get credit for both the mini and the monthly tournament. I went ahead and scheduled that for those who will not have time to play the whole 9 holes.

OK..so…I just know you ain’t gonna like this…but….it’s best you are kept informed. In my opinion the 4th on Ocean is paracticaly unplayable. Why?? you ask…well…hell I’m no techie…but I have noticed it since the October monthly when I saw Juan get lagged 3 times and send his ball each time into the water….and…no matter how low my ARC…no matter what time of day or night….no matter how low I set my Graphics Preferences….I still encounter the same bottom of the swing lag…on the tee shot and on my second shot. I would appreciate other club members comments on this. Personally I suspect the problem is too many scripts running in the parcel like performing Killer Whales, flashing beacons etc. etc. BUT..like I say..I am no nerd so wtf do I know.
My second issue is with the new 8th on Ocean. Ok…the tee shot is no problem…then we come to the second….consistently…and with brain numbing regularity my second shot rubber bands back at me and drops into the water behind the tee…SIX times it did it to me today….SIX!!!!!!!. Eventually I went back to the tee and started again….this time my second shot went thru the wall ok….BUT…when I tried to fly through it…lol….my screen went black and white…..and I got a dialogue message telling me I had been logged out of SL….:)).
Of course…I’m sure ALL these problems are of my own doing and I should be happy with just walking around such a scenic sim as Holly Kai and be grateful for having to pay 165 bucks for the pleasure. But I ask you….is it possible to play a competition under such circumstances????
There is a simple solution to this problem! Cheat like a Rl golfer would do, ME excluded of course
