Experience

Designer

I’m Holly Guerrero, a multi-disciplinary designer, motion artist, the owner of Kai Art Studio and co-owner of HBF Photography, to build an experience for my audience. I recently received my Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design, and I am currently working on my master’s degree in Graphic Information Technology. I am always exploring ways to use design to tell a story or effectively communicate an idea to an audience. The areas that I have focused on and am currently working in are motion design, digital media, and material-driven art forms to create modern storytelling. The goal in all of my work is to create an immersive and experiential narrative. My studies have furthered the way I think about design, and in my work, I merge animation, branding, photography, and resin experimentation to create work that feels expressive, intentional, and uniquely mine.

Motion graphics, animated brand systems, and interactive UI experiences are my jam. They’re where I find that sweet spot between intention and personality. My work marries strong conceptual thinking with tactile experimentation. Visually, I’m often inspired by the textures and color flows of resin, the beauty of controlled chaos in material processes, and the play of light, composition, and mood in photography. Photography is a large part of my practice as well, and you’ll see that influence seep through both in my digital work and physical pieces.

Technical skills-wise, I’m fluent in Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Canva (UI/UX, prototyping), and basic front-end coding languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I was first trained in a fine arts/studio craft program, but moved into digital design early on, so I feel right at home whether I’m working on brand development, motion sequences, packaging design, or image-led stories.

Kai Art Studio is the embodiment of those skills, a personal brand and creative outlet founded on curiosity, experimentation, and a love for thoughtful, beautifully executed visuals. Whether I’m developing a motion piece, designing a digital interface, or playing with resin and epoxy, I aim to create work that connects, resonates, and is undeniably mine.
